Search for man who fell into River Nore to resume

A search operation at the River Nore in Kilkenny is due to resume this morning.

A 33-year-old man fell into the water at around 1.30am on Sunday morning, at Canice's Mill in Thomastown.

Gardaí, assisted by the local civil defence and the Waterford Coastguard, mounted a search immediately.

The rescue operation is being focused on an area between Inistioge and Thomastown.
