Gardaí seek witnesses to Dublin assault

Gardaí are appealing for information on an assault in Dublin city centre.

It happened in the Dorset Street/Summerhill area at between 1am and 4am last Thursday morning.

A male pedestrian, was approached and assaulted by two men who spoke with what are described as Eastern European accents.

The man also said he was further assaulted by the same individuals on the North Circular Road.

It is thought a blunt item may have been used.

The man was taken to the Mater Hospital for treatment to injuries which are described as non-life threatening.

Gardai in Mountjoy are appealing for information.
