One dead in Co Wexford crash

Gardaí are investigating the death of an 81-year-old man in a two car crash in Wexford last night.

It happened at Ballylough in Ferns at about 10.30pm.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while a woman in her 50s who was a passenger in the car was brought Wexford General Hospital with injuries described as serious.

The two occupants of the second car left the scene of the crash.

The N11 between Scarawalsh and Ferns is currently closed and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
