Gardaí investigating the fatal road traffic collision on the N11 at Ballylough, Ferns have arrested a man in his 30s in Wicklow Town this morning.

Gardaí are investigating the death of an 81-year-old man in a two car crash in Wexford last night.

A seven-month suspended prison sentence and fines of €3,500 were imposed yesterday on former Minister of State Ned O’Keeffe for what the sentencing judge described as breaches of trust by a TD submitting false invoices to claim over €3,700 in mobile phone expenses.

Former Fianna Fáil TD Ned O’Keeffe was still being questioned last night after being arrested on suspicion of fraud.
