Gardaí hunt two men after taxi driver robbed and put in car boot
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a taxi hijacking in Naas overnight.
It happened shortly after 3.30am when the driver picked up a fare at Popular Square.
The cabby was forced out of the vehicle on the Sallins to Straffan Road and was put in the car boot.
The hijackers then drove to the Kill to Kilteel road adjacent to the N7.
The driver managed to free himself and the two raiders escaped on foot with a small amount of cash and his mobile phone.
Gardaí say both suspects were in their 30's, of slim build and spoke with Eastern European, possibly Polish accents.
