Two victims of Tuesday's road crash in Kildare have been laid to rest.

The funerals of all four young friends killed in the collision have now taken place.

Niamh Doyle and Ashling Middleton were laid to rest this afternoon in Carlow and Kildare.

The two young women, both aged 19, died when the car they were passengers in collided with a van near Athy on Tuesday night.

Yesterday, the funerals of two others killed in the crash - Chermaine Carroll (aged 20) and Gemma Nolan (aged 19) - took place.

All four had attended secondary school in St Leo's College in Carlow together.

Niamh's parents lit a candle at the start of the ceremony at the Holy Family Church in Askea.
