Irish charities seek unwanted gifts as donations

If you're looking to get rid of unwanted or obsolete items after Christmas, a number of charities are happy to accept donations.

Age Action is asking for unwanted gifts like clothes, jewellery and DVDs to be handed in to their charity shops in Dublin and Monaghan.

And if Santa brought new tablets and computers, Camara is looking for your old laptop to help educational projects in places including Ethiopia, Kenya and Haiti.

The charity said it wipes the hard-drive of every computer it receives to US Department of Defence standards, making it impossible to retrieve any sensitive data.

You can find out more information at camara.org.
