Man remains in custody after €680k cannabis seizure

A 24-year-old man remains in garda custody in Clare this morning after the seizure of almost €700,000 euro worth of cannabis.

The discovery was made during a raid on a house in the Kilkee area yesterday afternoon.

The man was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Kilrush Garda Station.

The 34 kilograms of cannabis herb has an estimated street value of €680,000.
