A group of 30 children from the Chernobyl region of Belarus will be arriving at Dublin Airport this morning for a two-week Christmas holiday.

It is part of the long-running efforts to help children affected by the ongoing effects of the 1986 nuclear disaster.

Families from all over Ireland are opening their homes to the children, and Adi Roche of the Chernobyl Children International says Dublin airport is the place to be this morning.
