PSNI investigate Belfast stabbing

In the North, police are investigating a reported stabbing incident in the Imperial Street area of East Belfast.
At around 2am this morning, a man in his 40s was out with his dog, when he was approached by another man wearing a black hooded top.
He reportedly stabbed the victim in his back and then held the knife to his throat.
A scuffle followed and the man made off on foot.
The victim was taken to hospital and treated for injuries that are not thought to be life threatening.
The knife believed to have been used in the attack has been seized for forensic examination.
