Ireland has the second highest car use among EU Member States.
That's according to a new Eurobarometer survey.

The car, as a form of transport is used most in Cyprus (85%), as well as Slovenia (71%) and Malta (70%).
Ciara Eustace of the EU office in Dublin says convenience is the main reason the car is so popular with Irish people - 80% of Irish respondents cited convenience as the most important thing in choosing how to travel.
