Man dies in Meath road accident

A man in his 60s had died after being hit by a car in Co Meath.

It happened between 7-7.30pm this evening on the Clonard to Kilcock Road.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was not injured.

One lane of the road remains closed for a forensic collision investigation and is expected to remain closed over night..
