Two charged after replica firearm is found in Dublin
Two men are due to appear in court tomorrow after they were arrested for firearm possession in Dublin.
Gardaà were called on Friday night after a member of the public reported suspicious activity at the rear of a house on Clare Road just off Griffith Avenue.
It is thought a group of men were spotted wearing balaclavas.
One man was arrested when a car with false registration plates was stopped and another was found hiding nearby.
Follow-up searches on the grounds of a local church saw detectives seize a replica firearm, a balaclava and gloves.
The two men, both in their 40s, will come before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Parkgate Street at 10.30am tomorrow morning.
