Fiona Pender case sees forensic search begin in Laois wood

A forensic search is getting underway at a Co Laois wood by Gardaí investigating the disappearance of Fiona Pender.

The 25-year-old has not been seen since August of 1996 when she was seven months pregnant.

The missing persons inquiry was revived after 18 years earlier this year after a woman came forward with new information.
