Pedestrian dies after being hit by car in Co Tyrone

A male pedestrian in his seventies has died after being struck by a car on the Mullydoo Road in Greencastle, County Tyrone.

It happened close to the Greencastle Road junction just before 3pm.

The road is closed for a technical examination and is expected to remain so for some time.

The PSNI are appealing for witnesses.
