McDonald accused of using PAC 'for your own political ends'
A member of the Public Accounts Committee has accused Mary Lou McDonald of using the PAC for political ends.
Fine Gael TD John Deasy says the Sinn Féin deputy leader is negatively affecting the workings of PAC.
It comes after she used Dáil privilege to reveal the names of politicians contained in a dossier of alleged tax evasion.
A number of those named have since issued statements denying the allegations.
John Deasy says the Public Accounts Committee is supposed to be bipartisan and non-political.
"You're making this committee and using it for political ends," he said to her.
"You've been doing it for a while, and you need to stop, because you're actually affecting the workings of this committee, which actually is important.
"The public, and the people you actually represent in your constituency and beyond, believe it's important - and you're damaging it.
"You're using this committee for your own political ends and you need to stop it."
