Gardaí investigate pipe bomb attack on family home in Limerick

An army bomb disposal unit has made safe and removed a pipe bomb from a home in Limerick after it was thrown into the house this morning.

The bomb was thrown into the front of the house at around 11.30am this morning on West Singland Road, Garryowen.

Gardaí believe a drugs gang may be behind the attack.

A family, including children, who were in the house at the time, were not injured.

Gardaí are investigating if the attack is connected to two petrol bomb attacks last night on houses in Kennedy Park last night.
