Bausch and Lomb announce 50 jobs in Waterford

Fifty new jobs have been announced at Bausch and Lomb in Waterford.

The company, which manufactures contact lenses, has announced a major investment plan this morning.

Up to €41m is to be spent on its facility on the IDA industrial estate in Waterford.

The company says the 50 new posts will be filled over the next 18 months.

Earlier this year 200 redundancies were announced and employees had to take pay cuts.
