Pedestrian dies at Tralee shopping centre

A pedestrian in her 60's has died following a collision in Co Kerry.

The woman was fatally injured when she was struck by a car at Manor West in Tralee at around 6.30pm this evening.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body has been removed to Kerry General Hospital.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

The road is closed while gardai carry out an examination and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact Tralee Garda Station.
