Man arrested and five due in court after separate Tralee stabbing incidents

A man has been arrested over a stabbing which left a man and his 17-year-old son injured in Co Kerry.

The attack happened at their house in Woodbrook Lawn in Tralee at around 6am yesterday.

Gardaí arrested a 23-year-old man in the town last night and are questioning him at Tralee Garda Station.

Meanwhile, five men are due in court in connection with a separate stabbing and assault in the town yesterday afternoon.

They were arrested after an incident at Rathass Cemetery at about 12.30pm.

The five will appear before Tralee District Court at 11am this morning.
