Varadkar: Only a matter of time before someone is hurt at water protests
The Health Minister Leo Varadkar has criticised what he called a "sinister fringe" element to some of the water protests.
Leo Varadkar was referring to an online video of protesters outside a Garda station in Dublin's Coolock last night.
He said a small number of protestors were being violent towards gardaà and were breaking the law, and that it was only a matter of time before someone gets hurt.
"They break the law, engage in violence (and) spread all sorts of misinformation. While there are a lot of people protesting legitimately, what I'm worried about is that it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt," he said.
