Man injured in Cavan shooting

A 41-year old man has been injured in a shooting in Co Cavan.

It iss believed he may have been shot in the legs during the incident in Ballyconnell yesterday evening.

He was taken to Cavan General Hospital with injuries which are described as non life-threatening.

The scene is preserved for technical examination.

Gardaí in Ballyconnell are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
