Biel-Timberlake defamation case before Dublin High Court today
A legal action by actress Jessica Biel and popstar Justin Timberlake is due to come before the High Court in Dublin this morning.
The couple, who have just celebrated their second wedding anniversary, allege they were defamed by the European edition of Heat magazine last month in a story purporting to carry quotes from Biel.
The magazine is sold in Ireland as well as in the UK and throughout Europe. It is understood the couple chose to pursue the case in the Irish courts after they were advised it would probably be resolved most quickly here.
They are represented by Johnsons Solicitors , who have offices in Dublin, London and Belfast.
They are suing the German based publisher Bauer and have opted to take the legal action through the Irish courts.
It is understood a statement will be issued after the hearing.
