Dublin spends €500,000 impounding and slaughtering horses
Dublin Councils have spent more than €500,000 on impounding and slaughtering horses this year alone.
The Herald is reporting that 770 horses have been put down since January.
South Dublin Council has the highest seizure count, costing €351,000 to date.
Only 28 horses were released to their owners for a fee. Thirty-eight were rehomed.
