A man has died in a car accident in Co Meath yesterday.

A man has died in a car accident in Co Meath yesterday.

Two men were injured in the single-vehicle accident which happened at Fennor Upper, Oldcastle, Co. Meath at 4am yesterday morning.

One of the men, aged 22, died last night in Cavan General Hospital. The other man, aged 24, is still in hospital in a stable condition.

Gardaí in Kells are investigating the accident and the road is closed to for a forensic examination and diversions are in place.

They are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on the road between 3.30am and 4.15am on October 5 to contact them in Kells on 046 9280820, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
