A 38-year-old male motorcyclist has died following a collision in Dublin.

A 38-year-old male motorcyclist has died following a collision in Dublin.

It happened on the Davitt Road in Drimmagh at around 4pm, when his motorcycle collided with a car

The man was taken to St James Hospital, however he was pronounced dead a short time later. The driver of the car was uninjured.

The road was closed while gardaí carried out a technical examination of the scene and it has since reopened.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Sundrive Road Garda Station.
