Celebrity chef creates 70 jobs in Cavan

A new restaurant and cookery school in Co Cavan is set to create up to 70 new jobs.

Celebrity chef Richard Corrigan bought the 100-acre 17th Century Park Hotel in Virginia last year.

The lodge is already exporting supplies to the businessman's restaurants in London.

"We've been very busy kind of rebuilding the grounds and the house...a lot of work really has been done, and that will continue over the next three years," said Corrigan.

"We've been very, very busy turning the whole place around.

"I mean, as much work has been outside as inside - so that'll give you an indication of just how far we've came."
