Management and workers at Greyhound agree to new round of talks

Both sides in the three-month dispute over pay at Greyhound Recycling have agreed to take part in renewed talks.

As a result, a High Court hearing into alleged breaches of court orders to stop striking workers from illegal picketing has been adjourned for one week.

Lawyers for the waste management company asked for the adjournment following constructive engagement over lunchtime today.

The company later issued a statement reassuring customers that their waste will be collected.

"Greyhound would like to assure customers that normal service has resumed and any outstanding collections will be completed tomorrow," the statement read.

"Earlier, the parties agreed to adjourn the matter for one week. During this week, detailed discussions will take place with a view to resolving all matters.

"Other than that, no further comment can be made at this time."
