Workers at Greyhound Recycling say they're prepared to go to jail as part of their fight to stop pay cuts at the firm.

Workers at Greyhound Recycling say they are prepared to go to jail as part of their fight to stop pay cuts at the firm.

Employees have been picketing at the company depot in Dublin for the last three months amid plans to reduce wages.

Management and staff met last week for negotiations and today workers will be balloted on the latest proposals to end the deadlock.

"We're in contempt of court because we refuse to lift the picket," said Ray Reilly, a spokesperson for the staff.

"There's five to six workers willing to go to jail on Tuesday."

He urged the company to "make contact with the workers again and put a deal on the table, and let's get it legally binding".
