Woman, 55, bailed after €150k heroin charge
A 55-year-old woman has appeared in court charged in connection with the seizure of €150,000 worth of heroin in Dublin.
Gardaí have taken the same amount of cannabis off the streets as part of a separate operation carried out in the capital.
Gabrielle Kelly of Kylemore Drive, Ballyfermot was arrested after €150,000 worth of heroin was seized during a raid at her home on Wednesday.
She was charged with two offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act late last night -- she made no reply after they were put to her.
There was no objection to bail during her brief court appearance this afternoon and she is due back in court in January.
Meanwhile, Gardaí are questioning two people after €150,000 worth of cannabis was seized during a separate operation yesterday evening.
€60,000 worth of cannabis was found when Gardaí stopped a car on the N7 in Clondalkin and a man in his 30s was arrested.
A woman in her 20s was also taken into custody after €90,000 worth of the drug was found during a follow up search at a house in Baldoyle.
Elsewhere, Gardai in Ronanstown are questioning a 36-year-old man after two handguns and some cocaine were found at Newlands Road in Lucan at around 6.30 yesterday evening.
