It has been reported that two children have been found dead in a house in Charleville, Co Cork.

It has been reported that two children have been found dead in a house in Charleville, Co Cork.

The scene in Charleville has been sealed off.

It is believed the children, who are thought to be aged around eight, were discovered at around 5.30pm at a house in the Deerpark area, situated close to the town.

RTÉ News have reported that the children were brothers, and possibily twins. It is also thought they may have died a violent death.

The main Cork to Limerick road through Charleville is closed due to the incident.

Gardaí at Mallow, who cover the Charleville area, would not comment on the matter when contacted.
