An Aer Lingus flight was forced to return to Dublin Airport this morning due to a technical fault.

An Aer Lingus flight was forced to return to Dublin Airport this morning due to a technical fault.

The flight - which was en-route to Palma De Mallorca in Spain - turned back after about 20 minutes.

It landed safely in Dublin just after 8am.

The aircraft is undergoing an inspection, and is expected to depart for Spain again later this morning.
