Aer Lingus bosses 'have made no concrete proposals': Union

The trade union IMPACT has said Aer Lingus management has yet to make any concrete proposals to resolve a rostering dispute.

Talks aimed at averting further industrial action over the row at the airline resumed this morning at Dublin Airport.

Aer Lingus cabin crew are seeking a fixed pattern roster of five days on followed by three days off, similar to that worked by pilots.

Last week they held a 24-hour strike and threatened more work stoppages.

Michael Landers from IMPACT said the union was still waiting for the company to make reasonable counter proposals.

"These negotiations are difficult. What we need is for the company to accept our proposals, or make reasonable counter-proposals of their own. To date, they haven't done that.

"They've agreed to talk. We want to see now where they're prepared to travel to."
