Man dies as car strikes tree in Limerick

A 21-year-old man has died in a crash in Co Limerick overnight.

It happened when the car he was driving left the road and struck a tree on the N21 south of Adare village.

He was pronounced dead the scene.

The road remains closed for forensic examinations and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are asking anyone with information to come forward.
