Gardaí remind motorists to slow down as more than 1,000 caught speeding

Motorists are being reminded they can receive up to four penalty points on their licence if caught speeding.

The Gardaí's "Operation Slow Down" is now in its third day and has so far detected more than a thousand people exceeding the speed limit in various parts of the country.
