Greens secure first local seat

The Green Party has secured its first seat in the local election in Dublin, the party’s first election win in Dublin City Council in 10 years.

Patrick Costello has been elected in the Rathgar-Rathmines constituency. He said he felt it signalled "a new mandate for the Green Party".
