A woman in her 60s has died after a crash in Co Meath yesterday.

A woman in her 60s has died after a crash in Co Meath yesterday.

The two-car collision happened on the Athboy road in Trim at 6.50pm.

The woman, who was the driver of one of the cars, and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for treatment for a serious leg injury.

She lost her fight for life in the early hours of this morning.

The driver of the other car was taken to James Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
