Man for court after Mairead Moran stabbing

A man is due in court at lunchtime today in connection with the fatal stabbing of 26-year-old Mairead Moran in Kilkenny on Thursday.

Ms Moran died after the incident at the Market Cross Shopping Centre.

A 27-year-old man, who was being detained by gardaí, will appear before a special sitting of Kilkenny District Court at 1pm this afternoon.
