Two in court after €40,000 worth of cigarettes seized in Cork

Two men have been remanded in custody at Cork District Court this morning, after the seizure of €40,000 worth of cigarettes over the weekend.

Officers from Revenue's Customs Service seized 40,000 cigarettes with a sale value of almost €19,000 and a potential loss to the Exchequer of €14,500 at Cork Airport on Saturday night.
