Four saved as boat runs aground in Cork

Four people have been rescued after their boat ran aground in Co Cork last night.

Crosshaven lifeboat launched shortly after 10pm after receiving reports that a rib with four people on board was aground just north of Hop Island in Lough Mahon.

The boat was located and the lifeboat crew transferred the people back to shore shortly before 2am this morning.

There are no reports of any injuries.
