Woman's body found in Waterford house

Gardaí in Waterford are investigating all the circumstances following the discovery of the body of a female, aged in her early 60s, in Waterford city this evening.

The body of the woman was discovered by the Fire Brigade at approximately 6pm at a house at Killure Grove, St John's Park, Waterford City.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to Waterford General Hospital where a post mortem will take place tomorrow afternoon.

The area has been sealed off for a technical examination.
