Gardaí investigating murder of girl, 11, arrest woman

Gardaí in Tullamore have arrested a woman as part of their investigation into the murder of an 11-year-old girl a year and a half ago.

Emily Barut was found dead at her home on Bachelors Walk in the town on September 15, 2012.

A woman in her fifties was arrested this morning under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

She is being detained at Tullamore Garda Station.
