Man due in court in connection with Dublin assault

A man in his 20s is due to appear before Dublin District Court this morning charged in connection with an assault in the capital in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Gardaí were called to an apartment at Kelly's Row on Dorset Street at around a 1.45am on Sunday.

A man in his late 30's was taken to Beaumont Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
