The Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers Association says its members feel their voluntary efforts do not sit easily with "the money-making ethos of Sky".

The group says its members don't always have time to travel to the bigger games due to commitments on the farm, and that they are dependent on being able to take short breaks to watch the games on television at home.

General secretary of the ICSA Eddie Punch is disappointed by the decision and feels the GAA should reconsider the move.

"A lot of these people are heavily involved with the GAA at local level. They feel the voluntary effort they've put in is not easily fitting in with the money-making ethos of Sky," he said.
