Fishermen '40 times more likely to die at work' than anyone else

New figures show that people in the fishing industry are 40 times more likely to be killed at work, compared to other sectors of the economy.

The fatality rate in the general working population is 2.5 deaths per 100,000 workers, while in the fishing sector it is 92 per 100,000.
