Taoiseach confirms civil servant met Callinan Monday night, denies he was sacked

The Taoiseach has given the clearest signal yet that Justice Minister Alan Shatter will acknowledge that Gardaí did not do enough to get the co-operation of whistleblowers.

"There wasn't enough done, and I expect Minister Shatter to deal with that when he comes to address the Garda Inspectorate report here today," he said.
