Teen arrested in Tallaght gun seizure

A teenager has been arrested after the seizure of a firearm in Tallaght, Dublin.

Gardaí from Tallaght District Drugs Unit arrested the 19-year-old following the seizure of a firearm at Jobstown Road, at around 12.40am this morning.

Gardaí had responded to a call and arrived to see a man holding a weapon. He attempted to leave the area and was chased on foot.

Gardaí managed to disarm and arrest him.

The 19-year-old is being held at Tallaght Garda Station.
