Witness: Lough Ree anglers hit by 'freak accident'

An eye-witness to the tragedy in Lough Ree that has claimed the life of a fisherman has said that their boat was hit by a "freak squall".

Searchers for a missing angler missing whose friend died after their boat capsized on the lough have said they were called to the scene by a local person concerned for the men's welfare.
