Gardaí arrest woman in Mallow fire investigation

Gardaí investigating the fire at an apartment complex in Mallow, Co. Cork, which killed two men have arrested a woman.

The woman, aged in her 20s, was arrested this afternoon in Cork city and is being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Mallow Garda Station.

The fatal fire occurred at apartments at Granary Court in the town in the early hours of Thursday morning.

After Gardaí arrived at the scene, they rescued a man and a woman and two men were discovered dead by the fire service a short time later.
