Lawyers for a Dublin teenager who is due to be sentenced for attempted murder have asked for time to consider yesterday's Supreme Court ruling on the rights of suspects in garda custody.

Yesterday's ruling in which Raymond Gormley successfully appealled against his 2007 conviction for attempted rape, found statements made by a suspect before his solicitor arrived were inadmissible as evidence.
